 Julie (United States) says:
Not bad! I had to refrigerate the cake so the frosting didn't collapse, and it tasted good on cinnamon cake.

 Katie (California) says:
My vanilla frosting came out very well with this recipe! Though when I added all the ingredients the frosting was a little clumpy, but I solved that by just adding another tablespoon of milk. Thank you very much for the recipe!

This recipe is great! It tastes good and looks good too. Advice: make sure you add the right amount of each ingredient and know the directions... When my sis and I first made it, we added only 1/3 cup confectioners sugar and it turned out way to liquidy but we thought it was because we didn't blend the butter and sugar first before adding all ingredients. So luckily we noticed the right amount the second time ;) overall this recipe is amazing. I would use it again and you should use it too!

Making cupcakes for my kids school at 11pm and realize I have NO vanilla icing. In a panic I did a quick google and found this EASY and QUICK recipe. Turned out great!! I don't think I'll ever buy store frosting again. I don't usually write reviews but this was too good not to. THANK YOU!!!

Extremely easy to make! Instead of blending the butter and sugar at the beginning, wait until all ingredients are added and then beat all together. This way, the sugar doesn't fly up and make a mess! If the frosting is still too thick, add more milk. ;D

This was great, my kids had fun making it, we added yellow food coloring, and spread the frosting on lemon cupcakes, delicious!

I ran out of Confectioner's sugar so I used regular cane sugar. It gave it a stranger texture. Good idea for the daring.

I loved this frosting. It was sooo good. The only thing I would advise is adding more milk (just a little) and a tsp. of salt and just a little less sugar. It was so good and easy and im only 12!

 Alex (Michigan) says:
what do you do to make it thicker?

Let your imagination use this as a guide only! Add a heaping tablespoon on peanut butter for a delightful icing on chocolate cake. Top with crushed pb M&M's. Use almond extract instead of vanilla, or try a mint extract. With a few changes, the possibilities are endless! Cooking teacher from Wisconsin.
