this icing does not work do not try it i just made it and i did not work it was lumpy and to much sugar!! do not use this icing!!

How can there be too much sugar? Just add a few more drops of water or milk. All frostings need to be adjusted. And if its lumpy, you probably didn't sift the powdered sugar and there were lumps in there to begin with. Next time, sift the sugar first and beat it long enough to break out the lumps.

i agree with tori in califorina i let my daughters make it and it was a mess so we tried what auntieem said turned out the same

I loved this icing. I tried sifting sugar and the maple syrup and it was delish. Thanks for the tips! Now I know why my frosting comes out with little lumps sometimes :)

YUMMY! It was so good. And to Tori, mine was like that too. All you had to do was add more milk and then it is perfect. I loved it. I put it on cupcakes and it was perfect.

Okay so first of all it is very sweet but tastes amazingly good. Do not listen to the loser comments - you will not regret making it. If you like sweets (which I hope you do because you're making icing) you will love this recipe. I recommend it on strawberry cupcakes! Enjoy!

Tori listen up! You must be a terrible cook if you can't make this! I loved it. Me and my sissys turned the frosting into colors and made animals which I think is a great idea! It was a little stiff at first but then I added more milk and it was fine and tasted great!

I made this frosting and loved it. I reduced the vanilla by 1/2 tsp. and added maple syrup, so good yumm.

This was so easy to make!!! It only takes like 5 minutes and I even added a little food coloring and just mixed it in...the only negative thing is tht it tastes too much like the powdered sugar.. but on cake you can't really tell.

This recipe is great. Takes simple ingredients that any baker would have. I needed to add about 1 tsp. more milk.

We tried it with a mixer and it was pefect. We loved it.
