APRICOT MUMBLES | |
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 cups rolled oats 12 oz. apricot filling (Solo or Baker brand) Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix softened butter with sugar until smooth. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together. Add to butter mixture. Add oats and mix well. Press 1/2 of dough mixture in greased 9x12x2-inch baking dish. Spread filling and then crumble remaining dough over entire top. Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares. Variation: Other fillings may be used instead of apricot such as cherry, strawberry or date. |
