DOUBLE PEANUT BUTTER CAKE | |
This is a large recipe. 2/3 cups butter (or shortening) 2/3 cups peanut butter 2 1/2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 tbsp. vanilla 2 1/2 cups milk 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 1/2 baking soda 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare three (8-inch) round pans for easy release using non-stick spray (Baker's Joy). Cream peanut butter, eggs and sugar together. Add baking powder, baking soda and vanilla and mix. Alternately add flour and milk, cream well together. Pour evenly into pans. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until cake tests done. Make 3 (8-inch) cakes, perfect for frosting and layering.
