Quick and Easy Bread Pudding

I have just made (and eaten) a slight variation on this recipe using cinnamon-raisin bread, and dividing it into small ramekins instead of a single dish. Due to the smaller dishes and my tiny oven, I cooked them two at a time, for just over 30 minutes per batch. They came out absolutely deliciously. Thanks for the recipe!

My 90 y/o grandmother is very hard to cook for - unless it's old style food, she's just not interested. I MUST thank you SO very much - not only was this SO simple, it totally made her evening. Thank you SO much for this delish recipe!! :)

Way easy, and ok. Better if you add vanilla and cinnamon.

Oh gosh absolutely delish and super simple, I added white chocolate morsels and roughly chopped dried apricots into the bread pudding batter, and added cinnamon and fresh grated nutmeg to the batter, came out AAMMAAZZIINNGG

Jeez this was simple, tasty & went quickly! I added some cinnamon, dash of nutmeg, ginger & diced dried plums since I didn't have raisins.. its awesome good!

I too made a variation of this recipe. I used old fashion donuts and a beautifully ripened banana. I also used condensed milk and a tsp of coconut extract. AMAZING! I really enjoy shocking my 2 teenage children with the left over foods and mixing "what they think is weird" ingredients. Thanks for the tips. This site is so helpful.

I had to make bread pudding for a large gathering (60 servings). This was easy and delicious! I did replace the bread with cinnamon bread and I added chocolate chips (it was an event with kids). We served it hot that night, reheated the next day, and defrosted and reheated a week later and it was fantastic each time!

This is a tasty recipe, but pretty basic and bland. It's best if you add a sauce or spices. I have made this two ways- with cinnamon and extra sugar sprinkled on top so it bakes into a hard caramel shell, and also with nutmeg added to the batter and candy bars crumbled on top. both were quite excellent.

This is my favorite recipe for bread pudding. I have been making this as a treat for my kids and now grandchildren for years. I add raisins and butterscotch chips for a great taste.

This is a very good basic recipe. I received a box of Aplets and Cotlets for Christmas and I chopped up a few and added them to the basic mix. I also followed advice of other reviewers and added 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract and sprinkled a little sugar on top for that crunchy topping effect. It was wonderful! Got rave reviews for New Year's Day breakfast! Thanks for this great recipe.

I make homemade chocolate pudding an add it to the top. It's an old fashioned recipe in my family. Delicious!

Delicious! I added vanilla, cinnamon, currants, I did not use as much sugar as called for, just a sprinkle of brown sugar and a touch of stevia, still very good and I will make it again!
