MOM'S PIE CRUST | |
My Mom said she learned this recipe in Girl Scouts. 1 cup shortening (butter, Crisco, lard, etc.) 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. milk 1/4 cup boiling water 2 cups all-purpose flour In mixing bowl add shortening, salt and milk. Pour boiling water over it. Using electric beaters mix until it looks almost like whipped cream. Then add both cups of flour. Mix with floured hands till well blended. Divide into two balls. Roll onto a well floured surface. Makes two crusts. Submitted by: Janet Capell |
