CROCK POT BEST BAKED BEANS EVER 
4-6 cups dry beans
1-2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. onion powder
3/4 cup catsup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
5-6 rashers slab (or thick) bacon

Prepare beans according to package directions; Soak overnight; drain.

Mix beans, mustard, catsup, brown sugar and chopped onions and garlic. Cook bacon 3/4 done and cut into small pieces. Add bacon to Crockpot along with about two tablespoons of bacon drippings.

Cook in Crockpot for 3 to 4 hours on high.

Add water (as necessary) to keep beans covered, allowing beans to absorb most of liquid by the end of cooking.

This recipe is excellent. I have prepared it many times. I always do on the stove top. You would not believe what the added ingredients can do with a pot of beans. You may even add ketchup to your taste, just as you serve.
