QUICK AND EASY BREAD PUDDING 
3 eggs
2 cups milk or skim milk
1/2 pound light brown sugar
4 slices wheat or white bread
2 Tbsps. butter

Beat eggs lightly. Add milk, sugar, crumbled bread and pour into a 1 quart baking dish. Dot with butter and bake 40-45 minutes until firm and brown at 350 degrees. Serves 6.

This is a good old fashioned bread pudding. I decided to chop an apple up and add it, along with a teaspoon of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg. Turned out OK!

I have found it to be better by mixing Brown and white sugar in equal amounts. Also soaking the bread for at least an hour helps a lot.

Double recipe and bake in 10x13 dish. Also, divide sugars to brown and white. Add dash nutmeg, cloves.

PLEASE stop insulting (yes, insulting) the contributor by "re-writing THEIR RECIPE with your changes. That is what many of you are doing. Write your own recipe then. How can you all say "thanks for such a great recipe" when you are adding to it or changing it? Now it's your recipe! Accept what is submitted and REVIEW THAT RECIPE. It is a perfectly good and basic recipe!!

Many are complaining because some people opt to share what they added. I appreciate different idea's. It simply does give other options that you may never thought of - and is an added benefit - if you have a food item - you need/want to use up. (Keep adding your idea's.) May add some fine chopped nuts & butterscotch chips.
