I haven't made it yet, but wanted to know if this is made with real butter or margarine?

Icing came out great! It had a little crunch to it (I used whisk, not beater. Probably that), but other than that it was great! Added a little red dye for color (gotta love spooktober.).

I don't have a sifter but all went well. Used 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp Black Walnut for a little variety. I think the essentials are softened butter and an electric mixer.

I made it and it was good. I added different flavorings, worked amazing but if it comes out too sweet just add a pinch of salt - cuts the sweetness a little.

I love this recipe. To make it easier I used a 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick) and fed in the sugar and vanilla a bit at a time. I used half-n-half and drizzled that in as well. That way I maintained the exact consistency I wanted all along. This can be colored or flavored any way we like - very easy! The only issue I encountered was that there was not enough to frost a 3 layer 8" cake so I would double it next time.

Great recipe just really strong! If I added more milk it would get more drippy and yeah. It was pretty simple and I'm only 12.

This is a fun little recipe me and my family enjoyed very much! Not only is it easy to make, but it tastes amazing! It is less expensive and it is a completely no-stress recipe. All you gotta do is mix a few everyday ingredients together and you got a delicious icing for your cake! Love it!
