Deelish! Perfect as is! A little tangy, a little sweet and peppery too. The best part is it's super easy.

(4 stars because nobody is perfect). Excellent recipe and my diabetic-2 hubby can eat this with immunity - using Splenda instead of regular sugar. I estimate 60 calories per serving, 2 grams sugar. Great for his late-night snack.

I'm single. On st paddy's day, I only use half a cabbage.
What to do with the other half, plus carrots I didn't use.
I improvised greatly with this recipe, though I did use the miracle whip.
I just went by taste and moistness without measuring.
I didn't check "cooks" to find recipes.
I didn't use sugar or any sweetener.
I never have spices on hand.
This is probably one of simplest and tastiest coleslaw recipes.
If I can make it, anyone can.

This calls for the bag of cole slaw blend.... Can't get much easier.
And I don't have to wait a whole 'nother year to make.
Thanks Sherry. Mmm wonder if you can use that (sherry) instead of vinegar.

Though my personal preference is Hellman's Mayo, I did try this with Miracle Whip as written. The addition of sugar and vinegar was wonderful! Very tasty I must say. I also added some diced red onion and some crumbled crisp fried bacon. The Cole Slaw Blend I purchased didn't have carrots so I added some fresh shredded carrots to the salad too. Next time I think I'll add some diced tart apple too as another reviewer suggested. This would make a delightful entree salad with maybe some chilled shrimp or diced cooked chicken! Thanks Sherry!

I made this as a side for a quick dinner. I added some salad topper mix from Costco. It has dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc. it was awesome! Thanks for the recipe. I think next time I will add an apple as suggested above!

I always start with a recipe and add to it. This recipe was awesome! I added minced onion, Penzey's celery seed and a few drops of hot pepper sauce for flavor, not heat.

Pineapple is another optional add-in. Preferably fresh, but canned will work (be sure to drain first).

I love the Marzetti Coleslaw Dressing, too. I was on here looking for something close to my mom's dressing which uses half and half and Miracle Whip. This was pretty close.

This is good for emergencies and I had to use it. But to really be prepared ahead of time.. I just use Marzetti Slaw dressing from a JAR.. and mix with shredded cabbage and carrots. Let flavors blend a bit in ref.. and everyone thinks you made homemade dressing. Have done this for years and inlaws all praise my cole slaw.. Sometimes a bottled dressing can be easier and better than one you have to make.

Great recipe - I added some horseradish to give it a bit more zing!
