This was very good, better than most recipes I have tried, but after making exactly like described, I add a few extra ingredients, like Instead of Miracle Whip or salad dressing I used Helmans, and I used a little more than 1/2 c. sugar, and I added about 2 tablespoons of cidar vinegar, I grated some sweet vidalia onion and used the juice from the onion, only about 1/4 teaspoons, I added one Tablespoon of Land O Lakes whipping cream (heavy) and celery seed salt, about 4-5 shakes we could not stop eating this coleslaw it was delicious

Hellmans instead of Miracle Whip
No sandwich spread.
No sugar.
Extra dill pickle brine from Vlasic.
2 T. of Half and Half
Grated Vidalia like Karen from Ohio
Full Teaspoon of 7 Seasoning from Morton instead of salt and pepper. Delectable!

What kind of salad dressing, what kind of sandwich spread, and what is dill pickle vinegar?

 Cook (Alabama) replies:
"Salad dressing" refers here to Miracle Whip (fake mayo, basically). "Sandwich spread" is found with the mayo in the store; it's like mayo with pickle relish and seasoning mixed in. "Dill pickle vinegar" is simply some of the liquid from a jar of dill pickles. Also, search engines are a thing. Maybe consider using one when you have questions like this.
