EASIEST & BEST HOMEMADE ALFREDO
SAUCE

This by far is the easiest and best Alfredo sauce recipe I have found yet! I love pasta and Alfredo and searched forever to make it homemade. I think that too many recipes have too many ingredients and that others are too watery. My girlfriend loves it and makes me cook it at least once a week.. plus you can add it to so many different things! This is a great, simple recipe to make for someone coming over for a dinner date ;)

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup half and half
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)
pepper, to taste

1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter.

2. Once butter is almost melted, add the package of cream cheese. It's easiest to cut it into 4 pieces so that it melts quicker.

3. Once butter and cream cheese are mixed well together, add the cup of half and half, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and then shake pepper on top. Stir all together until well mixed.

4. Once it's mixed well and sauce-like, take it off the burner and set aside so it can thicken up. Stir every few moments.

5. DONE! Pour over your favorite pasta, I love it with tortellini!

Don't forget some bread-sticks to dip in the extra sauce! :)

GREAT!! Easy, fast and good. I added a little romano and used frech minced garlic. Served it over chicken and bacon tortellini. Better than most Italian places.

Fantastic! My entire picky family loves it! Super easy. Might want to cut down on the garlic powder just a bit.

Just made it for dinner! I thought it was quite flavorful, Going to add some chicken, broccoli carrots etc. later to make another meal out of it! Also I only used a spatula to mix butter and cream cheese and didn't have any problems with it not mixing.

I tried this one this afternoon, my kids loved it. I used minced garlic instead of dried, and served it over steamed zuchinni sauteed with roasted chicken breast. My zuch hater ate them today! Thanks for a great recipe.

Amazing recipe. I didn't have any half and half so I substituted with whole milk. I am a garlic lover so I added a lot more garlic powder. I also added a dash of parsley, onion powder, and italian seasoning. Perfecto!

Michael, this was by far the best alfredo sauce I've ever made. I added a bit more parmesan and used crushed garlic instead of garlic powder. Excellent. I served this with chicken and fettucine. I will also serve this with shrimp and angel hair pasta. My company loved this and requested another meal with this dish as the star!
Thank you!!

Super easy and very yummy! My only issue was that the butter didn't want to blend in with the sauce - used a whisk to fold it in and added more cheese.

It really was great, I used whole milk instead of half & half. A little too thick so I added about half a cup more milk. To those who say it tastes to much like cream cheese you really just needed to add more milk or half & half and salt. Cooking isn't an exact sience like baking so play around with it till' it works for you. It really was a fast easy recipe, you should try it for yourself and not just take all the negative comments for the absolute truth.
