ALANNAH'S APPLE CRISP
My 2 year old daughter Alannah loves this!!!

10 medium apples
1/2 cup (125 ml.) white sugar
1 tbsp. (15 ml.) cinnamon

Topping:

1 cup (250 ml.) quick rolled oats
1 cup (250 ml.) brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup (125 ml.) white flour

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Peel, quarter, and slice apples. Place apples evenly into 9x13-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle white sugar over apples and sprinkle cinnamon over the sugar.

Mix oats, brown sugar and flour until blended well. Stir in melted butter until fully moistened.

Cover apples evenly with topping.

Place in preheated 350°F oven and bake 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Great recipe! Easy and yummy! Just a hint too...I peeled and cored the apples and cut them and put them in a cold bath of water and lemon juice so they wouldn't brown. I also doubled the topping as we love more topping! :)

I have been using this recipe since 2006. I'm so glad that you named it "Alannah's" because it makes for easy googling! When I need the recipe I can always access it :)

The recipe is perfection. One could easily experiment if they wanted to, but not necessary!

I also have made this recipe for YEARS. Whenever I lose my printed copy, it's so easy to remember Alannah's name and it comes right up! I adjust the amounts for the number of apples (or type) I have, but the simplicity of ingredients makes this foolproof. Lovely recipe!

Hey! Another Alona in the house =) Love this recipe! My dad would make this for me when I was a little younger and I loved it, especially with vanilla ice cream. Made it for my fiance and I for a snack and it was perfect! Now he wants it all the time, thanks!
