4TH OF JULY CHERRY CAKE (SORT
OF)
 
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling (Comstock)
1/2 box yellow cake mix (your favorite)
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
halved walnuts, for sprinkling

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray a square glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray (Pam). Pour in cherry filling. Next pour half of the bag of cake mix over cherries. Melt butter and pour it over cake mix. Now sprinkle walnuts over everything.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake mix turns golden brown.
