“MOLASSES TAFFY” IS IN:

MOLASSES TAFFY 
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup molasses
dash of salt

Mix sweetened condensed milk, molasses, and salt in heavy, shallow pan.

Cook slowly, stirring constantly, over low heat until mixture will form a hard ball when tested in cold water (250-266°F on candy thermometer), about 35 minutes.

Cool on buttered pan.

Pull until firm, Stretch into long rope and cut into pieces.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 3/4 pound taffy.
