BANANA CAKE 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Sour milk (put a little bit of vinegar in milk to curdle)

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, banana, and vanilla. Beat well. In a separate bowl, add flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with 1/2 cup sour milk. Divide and spread into 2 (9 inch) cake pans, greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.

Add small can of drained, crushed pineapple to this recipe and it is delicious!!
