1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk (add 1 tbsp. vinegar to milk)
1 c. mashed bananas (approximately 3)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add the remaining ingredients, beating thoroughly after each ingredient. Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
