TACO DIP 
Bottom Layer:

2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese
8 oz. sour cream
2 pkgs. taco seasoning mix

Top Layer:

1 onion, diced
2 tomatoes, diced
2 cans chopped green chilies
1/2 to 1 head lettuce, shredded
1 pkg. Mexican shredded cheese

For the bottom layer:

Mix together cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning mix until well combined and spread out in 9x13 in. baking dish.

For the top layer:

Spread in layers the onion, tomatoes, green chilies and shredded lettuce and cheese. Chill until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips.

It is good! i used purple onion... added a layer of refried beans, AND Guacamole ...and i just used shredded mixed cheese is great! we used it as a meal for movie night =)

This is a great party dip! We have it at all of our family reunions and get togethers. It is gone in a flash - you might want to double the recipe. Sometimes we add cottage cheese to the first layer. We also add a layer of guacamole on the top (add cheese, tomatoes, etc. on top of that).
