BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

How about trying a burnt bologna sandwich with mayo and tomato!!! Oh, don't forget the bread, it doesn't matter which side of the bologna the tomato is on as long as the mayo and tomato are touching.

My grandmother use to buy this bologna called "narrow bologna." We used to fry it up and put grilled onions on it and any kind of bread was acceptable. Then when she died I just started using regular bologna. I used to grab a bunch of slices, about an inch thick, then cut that stack in quarters fry it up, meanwhile separating the slices. White bread goes good with mustard and a cheese of your choice. The white bread gets mushy and adds to the deliscious flavor of the dish.

You haven't eaten bologna until you eat garlic bologna. It usually comes in sausage type package. Try it you will like it! Eat it any way you like.

Growing up we would have thick sliced bologna with the 2lb white loaf with mayo and during the summer we would enjoy the season of the home grown tomatoes, but the recipe that my now Swedish husband has share with me is... homemade mac and cheese with fried bologna (chopped) with ketchup, mix it up and enjoy. So good!

I like making bologna club sandwiches. 1 slice of toasted bread, mayo, bologna, velveeta cheese, another slice of toasted bread smeared with mayo, lettuce, tomato and bacon. Topped with one more slice of toasted bread. Cut into quarters and eat with chips and wash it down with an ice cold glass of milk....enjoy

I grew up in AR and bologna had to be bought by the loaf so you take it home and cut it yourself. The best bologna sam'ich is fried with a little cut in it so it looks like pacman (WHO?). Then placed btwn some wheat bread with jelly on both slices. Even better with some melted gubment cheese...oohhh yes it melted.

So what is the favorite brand of bologna? We always preferred Shaw's brand, since Shaw's Supermarket closed in my area (CT) 1 year ago, we haven't been able to find a favorite. Recommendations please.....

I like mine as follows: 2 fresh slices of Mrs. Baird's thin white bread, a generous spread of miracle whip, salt and pepper, thinly sliced tomato, lettuce, 2-3 slices cold bologna, 2 slices of kraft american cheese, and fresh cooked bacon strips. Serve with sweet iced tea and enjoy! Thats how southern girls make it.
