After browning the chops I took them out and set them aside, then added apples, BBQ sauce, ect. and some water. I laid the chops over that mixture. They were unbelievably tender and juicy. The flavor steamed right in!

Excellent recipe! I had to substitute Plum Sauce for the barbeque sauce I didn't have, and the dish was still super delicious!

Made this tonight, scaling it down by a third. It seemed a bit dry after braising the meat, so I added a splash of white wine with the onions and garlic to the mix. EXCELLENT!

I followed the directions exactly and it was very tasty. The only thing I would caution you on is the actual cook time. I set my stove on low & "covered & simmered" for 45 minutes, and the barbecue sauce burned a little on the bottom. I would recommend checking on it every 15-20 minutes. I will be making this dish again for my family. They all loved it despite the little bit of crispiness :-)

I made this last night and was so proud of myself. Very yummy and fun to use apples because they are in season right now.

These chops turned out great. The recipe is so simple and quick. I didn't use onion powder (didn't have any) and mine was a bit spicy because I used the BBQ sauce already in the fridge (a Bold instead of a Honey as the recipe calls for). I used Granny Smith apples which I believe also added to the "bite". I also added a little water to thin the BBQ sauce. Once everything was in the skillet I put the lid on and walked away. You could cut the pork chops with a fork when it was done. We will have these again!!!

Awesome recipe! I added apple juice to thin the mix and keep the BBQ from burning on the bottom. Scrumptious recipe:-) Gourmet taste with easy to follow/fool proof instructions.
