APPLE OR PEACH BREAD 
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. chopped apple or 1 can Comstock Apple pie filling or peaches
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine oil and sugar; add eggs and beat. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add apples, nuts and vanilla. Bake in tube or loaf pan one hour at 350 degrees. Cool 15 to 20 minutes before removing from pan. While still warm, top with icing:

ICING FOR APPLE BREAD:

1 stick butter
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1 c. brown sugar

Blend and cook for 2 minutes. Pour on bread while still warm.
