PORK 'N BEANS BUT WITHOUT THE
PORK

1 lb. navy beans
4 slices onion, chopped
1/4 of green bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. black pepper
seasoned salt, to taste
1 15 1/2 oz. can tomato sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar

Cook navy beans until tender according to package instructions, adding the bell peppers, onion, onion powder, garlic powder, and the black pepper.

When the beans are done cooking, add the seasoned salt, tomato sauce, and the sugar. As beans cool, they will shrink.

These beans taste most like pork and beans that you buy in the can, except there are no chunks of pork in them.
