Substitute the granulated sugar with 1 lb. powdered sugar and milk with 2 sticks butter. Add 1 cup peanut butter instead of 3/4 ! Perfect and not grainy at ALL!

I have been trying to perfectly copy my late father's fudge -- with no recipe -- for my whole adult life, and never successfully. THIS IS IT! It makes me so nostalgic for all the evenings I would help my Dad make this! (Then we'd eat our way through the whole pan and say, "fudge? What fudge?" when my mon got home lol. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I have used this recipe so much that now I can't show up to a family function without bringing peanut butter fudge! lol The only thing I do different is add a handful of mini marshmallows and just a little extra milk.

My mom used to make this for me, she also made it and mailed it to me when I was in the navy. My mom pass away 3 years ago. I did not know how to make it, I tried many times and just gave up. I saw this recipe and hoped it would come close. I am very happy to say it is the same as my mom. I can eat this and feel close to her and remember her and myself making this when I was a little boy,and she don't seem so far away anymore. Thanks. P.S. I now can give this to her grandkids.

Here it is midnight and just had to make a batch after reading all of the wonderful reviews! It's cooling now. I didn't have smooth peanut butter, only extra crunchy so we'll see how it turns out. My mother had a recipe that was almost the same as this except I could never quite remember the amounts, so was happy to see this recipe. We used to tease her as we called it "spoon fudge" because it never set up enough to cut. This looked awfully runny as I poured it into the pan, but if it's spoon fudge it will only bring back fond memories, not dissapointment. Thank you for the recipe.

This is the first peanut butter fudge recipe I have ever made without a candy thermometer, and is the first that ever hardened properly!! Most of my pb fudge is crumbly. I can pick up on the grainy sugar granules in this recipe where my old recipe is super smooth, but this turns out so much better and tastes the same. Super fast to make!

Hey, my boyfriend is allergic to most store-bought marshmallows because they contain artificial vanilla. Is there another way to make it just as creamy?
