This recipe is the closest I have found to mine. The only difference is that I only use 1/2 cup Crisco, initially. But, your directions are exactly like mine. My cream filling is slightly different: 1 1/2 cups milk, 7 1/2 tbsp flour....cook to form paste-let cool completely / in mixer, cream 1 1/2 cups Crisco, 3 cups powdered sugar and 2 1/4 cups marshmallow cream / then slowly add the paste mixture until whipped. Other than that, I am so happy to have found this recipe!!!

I use this recipe. Except I use half butter and half Crisco. Works great!

When you use half butter/half Crisco how is it mixed? I always use all Crisco but wanted to try half and half. Is the flavor better?
