1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients in the order given. Roll dough the size of small walnuts. Dip each ball in water, then in white sugar (top only). Place on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
