ICICLE CUCUMBER PICKLES 
Wash and cut into thin slices 3 pounds cucumbers. Soak in ice water 4 hours. Drain and pack into sterilized pint jars.

Add:

1 sliced onion to each jar
1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Boil together:

1 qt. vinegar
1/4 c. salt
2 1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. water

Pour boiling hot over cucumbers to fill jars. Seal. Makes 6 pints.
