1 c. scalded milk 1/2 c. shortening 1/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. warm water 1 pkg. dry yeast Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine shortening, sugar, and eggs; add milk and beat well. Stir in yeast, 1 cup flour, and salt; mix well. Add remaining flour and stir until well blended. Let dough rise to top of bowl. Roll dough and cut. Frost with the following Glaze. GLAZE: 2/3 c. boiling water 2 c. powdered sugar Combine water and sugar. Spread over cooked donuts. |
