CHINESE NOODLE SALAD
1 head cabbage
1/4 c. slivered almonds
4 tbsp. sesame seeds
8 stalks green onion, diced into 1/4 inch pieces
2 pkg. Ramen noodles (do not use seasoning)

DRESSING:

1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 c. salad oil
2 tbsp. salt
6 tbsp. rice vinegar

Chop cabbage as for cole slaw, set aside. Brown almond slivers and sesame seeds. Break Ramen noodles into small pieces, dry. Mix all salad ingredients together.

Combine all dressing items together and pour over salad to marinate. Use a sealed container and turn over once every hour, 3 or 4 times while stored in refrigerator. Dressing needs to soak into noodles. May be served alone as a salad or by adding pieces of chicken or beef, it becomes a main course.

The only thing missing in the recipe is to put the seasoning mix from the noodles into the dressing :D

Instead of salad oil, I used sesame seed oil but only enough to lightly coat the cabbage. In addition to the green cabbage, I used a small head of red cabbage. Very colorful and tasty!
