RAISED DONUTS 
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour

Meat milk until it bubbles around edge of pan. Add sugar and butter; let cool. In large bowl sprinkle yeast over warm water. Add salt, eggs, and vanilla. Add cooled milk mixture. Add flour until soft and smooth dough. Cover and let rise until double in size. Roll 1/2" thick, cut donuts and let rise again. Fry in 370 degree oil or until brown. Dip donuts in glaze while donuts are hot.

GLAZE:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
