PILGRIM'S APPLE CRUMBLE | |
Great served warm with light cream or vanilla ice cream! 6 cups apples, sliced thin 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon CRUMB MIXTURE: 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, sifted 2/3 cup dry milk powder 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter Preheat oven to 325°F. Put sliced and peeled apples in greased baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Prepare crumb mixture by combining sifted flour, dry milk powder, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Work in butter until crumbly. Spread over apples in baking dish. Bake at 325°F for 45 to 60 minutes. Note: If top becomes brown before apples are soft, cover with aluminum foil. |
