SPLIT PEA SOUP 
1 pkg. split peas

Wash and cover with water. Bring to boil then reduce heat and cook for 3-4 hours; add bacon or ham here if desired. If soup thickens add more water. Be careful to stir often so it won't burn. About an hour before its done, season with Mrs. Dash, salt, baco's. Add a little milk or cream or chicken broth (approximately 1 cup) depending on thickness.
