OVEN ROASTED POTATOES 
I found this recipe in the 50+Friends Club Cookbook.

3 lb. red potatoes, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 env. dry onion soup mix (Lipton)

Combine all ingredients in a large plastic bag, shake until well coated. Empty the bag into an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Cover and bake at 350°F for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until the potatoes are tender.

I made this recipe and it turned out pretty tasty! I used Yukon Gold potatoes, which I think really added to the flavor. The onion soup mix was a nice touch - it gave the potatoes a bit of extra oomph.
