CALIFORNIA WALNUT PIE 
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 1/4 c. light syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. lg. walnut pieces
2 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. butter
3 eggs
1 unbaked pie shell

Mix sugar and flour in saucepan. Add syrup, butter and salt. Warm over low heat until butter melts. Beat eggs with vanilla. Stir into sugar mixture. Turn into pie shell and sprinkle with walnuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
