HARRIET'S SUGAR COOKIES 
7 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
4 eggs
1/2 c. milk
4 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs to the creamed mixture. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. Add the eggs and vanilla to the creamed mixture; mix well.

Alternately add the flour mixture and the milk to the creamed mixture ending with flour. Refrigerate. When thoroughly chilled, roll out (not too thin) and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 10 minutes or until slightly browned. Decorate as desired.
