OLD FASHIONED MULLED CRANBERRY APPLE CIDER | |
1/2 gallon apple cider 2 tsp. orange zest 3 cinnamon sticks 3 whole cloves 1/8 tsp. ground allspice 1/4 c. cranberries (optional) In a large saucepan, mix all ingredients. Bring to just under a simmer on the lowest setting on stove top. DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL. Continue simmering for 20 minutes. Strain out spices and berries from liquid using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth lined colander. Serve hot. 8 servings Submitted by: Karen LaValley |
