STELLA D'ORO CREAM PUFFS 
2 pkgs. Stella D'oro anginetti cookies
1 (16 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) cool whip
2 tbsp. powdered sugar

Prepare cookies by slicing off tops. Put aside. Drain crushed pineapple, leaving a little juice. Mix cool whip and cream cheese together in a bowl for about 1 minuted at medium speed. Add crushed pineapple and powdered sugar, blend for another minute. Spread filling in between layers of the cookies. Refrigerate.

I use this recipe but changed I by adding a cup of really good black raspberry preserve instead of pineapple or orange marmalade, or strawberry preserve. Big hit any flavor preserve works. I also have used mint jelly and topped them with melted dark chocolate. You can also use puddings like custard. Possibilities endless!

I have the original recipe, used to make them all the time! The cookies were discontinued. Often wondered if I could find a recipe to make something similar to the cookie!

I wasn't sure I would ever find this recipe. Now I'm sure of the exact ingredients. My aunt used to make these all the time. Everyone wanted her to make them! Easy to make and great to have for any occasion. I'll be making these for all the upcoming holidays!! Glad I found this recipe on cooks.com.
