CALIFORNIA WALNUT PIE | |
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 2 tbsp. flour 1 1/4 c. light corn syrup 3 tbsp. butter 1/4 tsp. salt (optional) 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell 1 c. walnut pieces Mix brown sugar and flour in saucepan. Add corn syrup, butter and salt. Warm over low heat, stirring occasionally, just until butter is melted. Beat eggs with vanilla until combined. Add sugar mixture and stir. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with walnuts. Bake on lower rack of 375 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until filling is set in center. Cool before cutting. |
