K & W EGG CUSTARD PIE 
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
Cinnamon
1 deep dish pie shell

Beat eggs and salt until frothy. Set aside. Pour boiling water into sweetened condensed milk and beat well. Continue beating, gradually adding egg mixture; add vanilla and pour into deep dish pie shell. Cinnamon may be sprinkled on top. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees and cook for 25 minutes. Do NOT over cook - pie will be "shaky" but will firm up when cooled.

OH MY GOSH!! This has been my favorite pie since I was a child over 50 years ago!! This recipe whipped up nicely and is now again my absolute favorite pie!!!! So easy to make. Recipe makes two (2) deep dish pies I am probably going to eat a whole pie and not tell anybody! HAHA! Thank you so much for this delicious custard pie!!!

I have been a fan of this pie and I am from San Diego, CA. When I cannot visit my in-laws, I would ask my son who was only 7 years old to bring a pie or two home, and he did all the time! This pie is the best!!!! I am happy to find this recipe.

The Absolute Best Egg Custard Pie! I have searched and used So Many Egg Custard Pie Recipes and just never satisfied, because I was in search of a Custard pie recipe that would be Exactly like Jacksons or K&W cafeteria. I had begun to believe that they couldn't possibly really be baking these mile high perfect Custard style pies, they had to be receiving them from some mass producing catering company Well I was very wrong, above is the very exact recipe that they have to be using, and o how wonderful the Pie is. The very best and easiest recipe out there. Thank you for the recipe! I am very proud to say this is a Pie that I may every week and highly requested at Every Event I attend.

That is a great idea!! I know some of the cafeteria custard pies had a tiny bit of lemon flavor.
