OLD IVORY'S EGG CUSTARD PIE 
6 whole eggs
2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a deep mixing bowl and beat until sugar is dissolved. (Or put in blender and blend on slow speed until sugar is dissolved.) Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until custard is set. Let cool before serving.

Easy and good - BUT, it will take a bigger than nine inch pie shell and the cooking time is a bit longer than 45 minutes in a nine inch deep dish shell..

This is the only egg custard pie recipe that I use. I cut the sugar to 3/4 cup. Delicious!
