DESSERT (DANSK AEBLEKAGE) 
2 c. bread crumbs
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 qt. applesauce
1 1/2 pt. whipped cream
12 oz. raspberry jam
10 (or more) cocktail cherries

Mix bread crumbs, butter and sugar, layer onto pan and roast in oven until golden brown. Let cool. Using a glass transparent bowl, cover bottom of bowl with 1/2 inch layer of cool crumbs. Dot all around with 10 teaspoons of jam. Then spread a 1 inch layer of applesauce, and layer over that a one inch layer of whipped cream. Repeat: crumbs, jam, applesauce and whipped cream, end with thin layer of crumbs. Garnish with cocktail cherries.
