Crock Pot Braised Short Ribs

Excellent recipe. I chose this for its simplicity. I floured the ribs and baked them on a wire rack in a convection oven at 350°F for an hour. Then I followed the recipe pretty much as is. I used beef broth and left out the salt. Added a bit of garlic and thyme. Cooked them 9 hours on low in a crock pot. After removing the beef and onions from the crock pot, made gravy with the broth. Flavor of the meat and gravy was very rich and beefy. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I used 1/2 cup mellow white wine and 1 cup of Dinosaur BBQ sauce. These ribs were delicious! Next time I will make them 1 day in advance and let them cool over night, take the grease off them, and then heat them again.

My family loves these ribs, especially my husband. I'm a beginner cook and this recipe was so easy for me and I make it often. I always make it with mashed potatoes and use the juice as a gravy.

I've made this short ribs recipe a couple times. It couldn't be easier and the results are fabulous. I use beef stock for the liquid.
