OVEN FRIED CHICKEN WITH BISCUITS 
2 1/2 - 3 lb. broilers, fryer chicken cut up, split breasts, or legs
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Bisquick
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 1/4 c. Bisquick plus 2/3 c. milk

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Wash chicken, pat dry. In oven melt shortening and butter in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Mix Bisquick, salt, paprika and pepper. Coat chicken with this mixture. Place chicken skin side down in pan. Bake 35 minutes. Make biscuit dough. Turn chicken, pushing pieces to one side of pan. Drop dough by spoonfuls into pan in single layer next to chicken. Bake 15 minutes longer or until light and brown and chicken is tender. Serves 4.
