CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 medium sized sweet potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced
1/3 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water

In heavy frying pan or skillet, heat together the butter and brown sugar until melted and blended. Add the sliced sweet potatoes and turn until coated in syrup and brown. Add salt and water; cover and cook slowly until potatoes are tender. Or if you prefer, place in at 350 degree oven and bake for about 30 minutes, basting occasionally.
