“NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE CAKE” IS IN:

NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 eggs
3/4 cup cocoa
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups sugar
1 cup hot water
1 cup milk plus 2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Transfer batter to a greased 8 or 9-inch square pan.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean (about 45-50 minutes).

I love this recipe, but it takes a 9x13 pan, not a square pan.... I doubled this the first time made it, and had A LOT of cake.... But I add some fresh cherries and it is AMAZING!!!

This is my go to cake, I love how moist it stays for days! I read one of the other reviews with adding cherries, I am making cake tonight (3/24) and trying the cherries in half of the cake, just in case my 4 year old grand son doesn't like it. i will diffidently let you know how it goes! This is one of my first cakes. I think the original recipe came from a grange cookbook that was my grandmother's. FYI I am now 75.
