CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 sweet potatoes
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. dark Karo corn syrup
1/4 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar

Boil potatoes 20-25 minutes; drain; cool. Peel and cut in half lengthwise.

In large skillet stir together butter, corn syrup and sugar. Arrange potatoes on top, cut side down. Cook over low heat 30 minutes, basting occasionally, or until potatoes are well glazed. Makes 6 servings.
