Combine sliced apples, lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well and spoon into crust.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. light brown sugar

Is the temperature at the top for the crust, the same temperature for the baking of the pie?

Tried this recipe tonight. First time i'd ever tried an apple pie and my family and friends loved it. Only thing I did different was I used a pastry pie crust over a graham cracker crust. Gonna try the graham next time and see how that one tastes, but this was a superb recipe

Nestal, did you use graham crust on the bottom and pastry on the top?

I made this a few months ago and I absolutely loved it!!! Growing up I never liked any apple deserts and still don't, but this one was OMG!!!! Super, super super delicious. I slightly changed the white vs brown sugar ratio, meaning I used more brown and less white. Making this again next week for my boyfriend's birthday cause he loved it last time I made it!
