This recipe is awesome. I have made several pecan pies, but this one is the very best. I crush my pecans. It looked, and tasted as if it came from a bakery. Thanks

This pie can be made in a blender, add the nuts in at the very last, give a short spin in the blender (not too long) and when you pour it into your pie shell the nuts float to the top. Saves alot of cleanup

Wow, I can't wait to try this! This is almost identical to "Abby's (Dear Abby) Famous Pecan Pie" that I cut out YEARS ago except you have cornstarch and less sugar (good thing) and hers was always a bit runny. Thanks so much!!!

BTW, from now on, I'm going directly to cooks.com instead of Google.

This recipe is a tried and true success. I've been making it for years. Using at least part brown sugar works really well. Homemade crust is just delightful.

This one is a keeper!! one to pass down. I have made a couple pecan pies in the past, none as good as this one. Everyone really liked it. it was not runny or was it to sweet. Just right. I plan to make it my go to recipe.. You will not be disappointed if you use this one.

Never attempted pecan pie before. Always been nervous about making it because I have heard it is hard to get the filling right. Not a problem with this recipe. It was yummy and turned out perfect on the first try.

This was the best pecan pie I ever tasted. It was so easy. A friend gave me fresh pecans from her back yard and I used them. This pie was AWESOME. I will never purchase another pecan pie; that's how easy this recipe is.

Based on all the comments, I am going to attempt this (first ever) pecan pie. The pecans I have are raw - should I toast them first? Any suggestions? Thanks!

 Leslie (Newfoundland) replies:
You don't need to toast the (shelled) pecans, but it won't hurt if you do.
