Found this recipe from a recipe card club I signed up for as a newlywed. We loved it then, and 40 years later, it remains the most requested birthday supper for my husband and 2 grown children that I make. Thank you for having this online because my recipe card is in storage pending a soon move across country!

My mom used to make this many years ago! I was delighted to find the recipe! Only difference is that mom always put bell pepper rings on top. The family loved it!!!

Had this as a kid often. Happy I found here. Do not think my mother used cream of shrimp as it was not available in the UK. Cream of mushroom is what I remember. Hard to find the old Ochoy canned chinese veggies.

Hi.
I can't used the cream of shrimp as my dad is allergic to shellfish. I use cream of celery soup instead.
My local stores don't seem to be carrying the La Choy canned stir fry veggies so I use canned bean sprouts, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. I did find the La Choy stir fry veggies on Amazon. 3 cans for $32.00. I'll just blend my own

The name of this recipe needs to be changed, it's really racist.

 Dena (United States) replies:
It's called spaghetti chop chop because it has canned La Choy stir fry veggies in it. There's nothing racist about it.
