CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can sweet potatoes, drained
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Marshmallows

Grease baking dish. Mix in saucepan the 2 sugars, butter, water and nutmeg. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cut potatoes lengthwise and place in baking dish. Add nuts to boiled mixture (if desired).

Pour mixture over potatoes. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Cut marshmallows or use miniature marshmallows and add them 5 minutes before end of baking time.
