1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugars and butter, then peanut butter and eggs. Then flour and baking soda sifted together. Stir in vanilla. Form balls with dough and press criss-cross with a fork.

Bake at 375°F for 10 to 15 minutes.
